We visited BJ Hot Chicken while on a quick trip to Hendersonville. While the location was small, the dining area was clean and tidy. The staff were super friendly and helpful when navigating the menu and options. The food, THE FOOD. The tender combo is one of the best meals we have had in a while in any town we have visited. Even with the quick drive to the hotel, the tenders were still hot and crispy, the sauces were delicious, the sides (fries and mac & cheese) were the perfect combination to the tenders. I wish I could come back here every week!!

Great food chicken and service as well as ambiance is just terrific!!!! Service is fast chicken is the best I have had in Tennessee and as always the best customer service ever. If your in the mood for hot chicken you need to come here for sure

We were headed for pizza when we noticed this place. I'd never heard of it or seen it even though it's been here well over a year. The restaurant is clean and the chicken is fried really good, not greasy. We'll definitely be back and will leave room for the remarkable looking popsicles they have to cool off our palate.

We were in Nashville for the first time and had to try a hot chicken sandwich. We decided to go to BJ hot chicken since it was on the way to the hotel. The chicken was nice and crispy and the coleslaw along with the sauce really put everything together for a delicious bite! For the sides, we tried the mac & cheese, greens, and potato salad. My favorite was the mac & cheese. It was very creamy. We ordered to-go and the wait was not long!

I'm a fan! First time trying BJ Hot Chicken and it will not be my last. The food is made to order and fresh. You head up to the counter and let them know what you'd like and your spice level. I got the catfish sandwich medium heat and it had a nice little kick to it. The cashier was super helpful in explaining the spice levels. The inside is quiet as well as clean and you're able to either eat in or take your food to go. The catfish sandwiches were huge! You get two full hefty pieces of catfish and 4 pieces of bread to make 2 sandwiches. All the fixings are there to build the sandwich as well as your side. I opted for the potato salad which was a nice cooling agent for the spicy catfish. The food turned into two meals for the price of one.

We ate there over a year ago, shortly after they first opened, and it wasn't a good experience. We continued going to our favorite hot chicken place, but from what appeared to be mismanagement, they folded several months ago. We heard BJ's was much improved, we were missing eating hot chicken, so today we gave it another try. Pleased to report it was very good. I ordered mine mild. Unlike my previous visit there, the flavor was just right. Wings were outstanding. Excellent potato salad. I'll definitely have that again. The beans were good. Service was friendly and efficient. Restaurant was super clean. We'll be back next week. I'll probably try the breast quarter.

After being on the road most of the day, this will put you to bed. The chicken is sturdy and tasty. I asked if lemon pepper was wet and the guy said it was but it was not. The greens were tasty but they could use some hot sauce packets. The mac n cheese is just run of the mill and it might be unfair because it's right before thanksgiving. I'll reiterate that the greens are good. My husband calls the mac "nostalgic". They were very friendly in there so we'll definitely be back..juicy chicken and friendly service. And they didn't forget my husband's ranch. So, kudos to you guys!!

Are you kidding me? Why is this not in the West Coast? We tried three different Hot Chicken spots during our 5 day trip to Nashville. I'm going to rate them in order with BJ's Hot Chicken being the top pick out of the three for me. For starters, this restaurant is clean and relatively new with plenty of seating for several group sizes. Our party of 4 spent the day out and about getting into shenanigans so we definitely worked up an appetite. We arrived during the dinner rush and ordered the following to share: #6 combo which was 6 WINGS + 2 SIDES ($18.99). We chose Mac N Cheese and Potato Salad as the two sides. Let me add the wings were massive! Definitely not the tiny chicken wings you would get from elsewhere. #11 combo which was CATFISH SANDWICH + 1 SIDE + 1 DRINK ($12.99). The side was french fries for this combo. Everything came out still steaming hot from the kitchen. The wings were well seasoned with their secret dry rub, and there was very little batter on the wings (which is how I like it!). I noticed a lot of chicken wing joints have too much breading on their wings making it hard for me to enjoy the true seasoning, spices, and flavors of the recipe. The chicken wings were so moist and juicy in the inside, and every bite was as savory as the next. The sides were fantastic and had its own signature taste complimenting the combos. The spice level to the Hot Chicken wasn't overly spicy for me but it certainly introduced what the kick would feel like -- I'm a fan of this restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone trying Hot Chicken for the first time. Bonus: the staff were very engaging and provided recommendations as we reviewed the menu. Very friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience all around!

Stopped in today for some hot chicken which was a great idea because it was delicious. I ordered the 6 piece tenders (Hot) with Mac n cheese and collard greens. I enjoy that the heat level here is hot and not uncomfortable, it is possible to have heat and flavor without being so uncomfortable you can't enjoy your food. The tenders were fresh and you could tell they were hand breaded and not frozen. The Mac n cheese is a little too runny for me but tasted fine. The collard greens would be improved by having some pork or vinegar in it. However the sides were fine. The service was great as I ordered at the counter and the food came out quickly. If you're looking for some yummy hot chicken, stop in at BJ's Hot chicken and give them a try!
